smile campaign evaluation
First of all i want to talk about how planning my work and my smile campaign helped a great deal to me this came more clear as it went to on with all the evidence needed to support it. The codes and conventions I have used quite efficiently i have used codes such as the use of camera, acting, setting, mise en scene, editing, lighting, sound, colour, visual composition, text and graphics, i have used most of these in my planning stages or the actual cuts of the advert these fit it perfectly because the made it more worthy of presenting with all the codes involved however i didn't use all the codes because some didn't necessarily work inside of the planning stages or the actual cut of the advert for example i didn't use special effects because there is no need for such a big tool inside of a advert about smiling the point was to keep it simple not go over the top so i kept in the codes in convention mostly. it was a process over the course of a couple of weeks i analyzed every thing i did and i improved on it with said feedback from my peers telling me what was good and what could be better in terms of research i research tons of mental health charts and site to find out which age group is overlooked in today's years and that gave me the information to have my target audience as teens with said research. After that i filmed a first draft of my advert and decided to get feedback of my film to see what was good and what could be improved this then was applied to the final cut of the advert. Over the course of this said project it was mostly about experimentation whether that is in the planning stages by redrafting storyboard or in the actual editing process i have feel that i met the brief by its minimal standards a lot of this came down to time and technical problems over the course of completing this project there was a lot of problems whether that was filming problems or technical editing problems and that made it very hard to get a lot of things finished unfortunately. so time was a my biggest issue a lot of could have been improved if I wasn't having technical problems every day or so. To hit the minimal mark i did what anyone did. i had to compromise for get it done and simple over work on it and lose the footage. this made it very difficult to probably get anything over a pass. I feel what helped me on my journey was friends helping taking over shots or helping with technical problems. this made the project that little bit easier. It was very useful to plan ahead and look into research with all this and the feedback this made everything clearer and better coming to the final assessment days. when it came to experimenting with hardware and software i was luckily experienced by doing a year before this so i would say i could of done without that but overall experimenting and planning helped a ton. when it came to actually hitting my mark looking at other learnings and those aims this was way harder in my opinion so this made it more challenging to get more done. but that worked in my favor because i will be more prepared for next time. The elements i have picked up on or improved on was mostly handling a camera and editing i have more knowledge on how camera works and its settings this will make the future better marked in terms of skills. When it came to editing i learnt to how to render probably picked up a new video effect and learnt to save probably. when it came to feedback i tried my best to analysis the faults and apply it to a new version but improve it. When it came to setbacks which there was a lot I just had to keep going sometimes i had to work overtime or do something that may take longer than it has to overall when it came to setbacks there isn't much i could do other than do it again or move on. ultimately i have came pretty close if not on the dot of my original idea i have changed some bits or improved on them but i have hit my mark very close. from this project i have learnt many things that i need to focus on pre production a little more if i could do it again or for next time. however for a first time in to a project like this i have done pretty well under the circumstances.
